Poetic Performance

Years 7 and 8 spent an absorbing morning watching a performance of ‘Mr Owen’s Pocket Book’ a powerful one man show exploring Wilfred Owen’s experience of war through his poetry and the poetry of his contemporaries.  It tells the tale of an officer travelling to the Western Front, a week before the Armistice, and his discovery of the pocket book of a young lieutenant killed that day and takes the audience on a journey through the poetry of Wilfred Owen, Siegfried Sassoon and others.
