Testing times for science quiz teams
What is musophobia a fear of? Which planet has the longest day? Whose name has been bestowed on the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope? These are just some of the questions put to our two teams of Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, putting their science knowledge to the test at a regional heat of the National Science Quiz Club Championships. The contest was hosted at Hilden Grange in front of a packed dining hall of supporters.
Our teams finished second and eighth out of eleven teams, facing fierce opposition from a New Beacon team that was simply on fire on the day. However, it was an impressive performance from Hilden Grange and we are hopeful of going through to the next round as the highest placed runners up. Well done to all those that took part.
