Cross Country Success

Yesterday Hilden Grange hosted a Cross Country competition with over 200 runners competing from a dozen different schools. It was a great afternoon, and our runners in particular had a tremendous day.  The U7 Girls and U7 Boys won their team events and there were Gold and Silver medals in both the Boys and Girls Year 2 races, Gold and Bronze in the Year 3 Boys race, Bronze in the Year 3 Girls and Year 4 Boys events and a Silver medal in the Year 4 Girls race.

Although there is no overall trophy, Hilden Grange had by far the lowest score across the six races.  In addition to the U7 Girls and U8 Boys winning team Golds, the U7 Boys, U8 Girls and U9 Girls were all third in their respective team categories whilst the U9 Boys were fifth.  Great work from all the Hilden Grange runners!  Well done to all the children who took part – they all showed huge determination and it was heartening to see them all supporting each other so well.
