Hilden Grange School

HG goes Green

Green Week took on an environmental theme, as pupils were urged to ‘get involved and make a difference.’ The week was a mix of learning about the human impact on the planet and hands-on workshops to put theory into practice as pupils constructed wind turbines, solar-powered cars, saltwater batteries and created art from waste materials.

It ended on a high with a grand finale catwalk show of recycled, charity shop outfits. The impact of Green Week will continue long beyond a week; as a results of the week’s events the events have spurred long term strategies for reducing waste and more sustainable living at Hilden Grange.
