Hilden Grange School

Reception pupils have gone quackers with excitement as their classroom became the temporary home for a brood of ducklings.

The eggs arrived at the start of the week and the children were absolutely enthralled to see the ducklings hatch and quickly settle into their new home. They have kept diaries to chart the progress of the ducklings and it has been a wonderful learning experience, which perfectly complements their topic of ‘habitats’. During their recent trip to Drusillas they looked at rainforest habitats and with the help of the ducklings are learning about ponds as another habitat.
